The infographic details the importance of gender dynamics in climate change adaptation, including differences within genders, based on age, caste, household status, income, and religion. In 2016 the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) selected Integra to conduct an Commercial Legal and Institutional Reform (CLIR) Diagnostic of the Philippines’ agriculture sector. The AgCLIR diagnostic provides a comprehensive method to diagnose the root causes and inefficiencies of an underperforming agriculture and agribusiness sector. This infographic showcases the preliminary findings of the diagnostic which relate to women’s empowerment in the Philippines.

This briefing note explains the basic blockchain concept and its potential legitimate and illegitimate uses, with examples of applications for combating wildlife trafficking. Some policy options are identified, including simple processes such as using blockchains to secure important documents relating to certification of origin or of sustainable production.

Integra, through USAID’s Global Broadband Innovations Program, supported the enhancement of Universal Service and Access Funds (USAFs) as a resource to promote ICT development. This final report is a summary of the main activities and accomplishments of the Africa Universal Service and Access Fund Support Project under GBI, along with lessons learned and recommendations for future activities.

Under the USAID Biodiversity and Extractives Political Economy Assessment Task Order, Integra conducted three political economy analyses (PEAs) to inform USAID biodiversity programming. Case studies focused on the following areas: artisanal gold mining and biodiversity in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, oil development in Uganda, and fisheries and marine biodiversity in Madagascar. This five-page summary provides an overview of findings from the Democratic Republic of the Congo case study.

Under the Global Broadband and Innovations (GBI) project of USAID’s Office of Energy and Infrastructure, Integra undertook an assessment of the Guatemalan ICT sector. The assessment report identified a number of constraints to both ICT expansion and the translation of ICT growth into improved development outcomes, identifying issues for the Guatemalan government, private sector, and civil society to tackle, and areas where USAID could provide development assistance.

Under the Global Broadband and Innovations (GBI) project of USAID’s Office of Energy and Infrastructure, Integra undertook a study of the Colombian ICT sector. The assessment looked for areas where USAID could lend support and leverage Colombia’s nascent ICT sector to increase the size of the network in the country, and help allow telecommunications firms to build more infrastructure in rural areas.

Under the Global Broadband and Innovations (GBI) project of USAID’s Office of Energy and Infrastructure, Integra explored the role of the new technologies along the agricultural value chain to improve resource flow. This document lists and describes over 125 ICT solutions (apps and projects) identified by the Integra team that apply to the various actors within the agricultural value chain.

A USAID funded project on the adoption of climate-smart agriculture (CSA) in Africa. This infographic presents a summary of findings regarding current status of CSA uptake, and gathered information on the known barriers to and incentives for the adoption of CSA practices. This full study was completed through an in-depth literature review, interviews with key actors in both Africa and the U.S, as well as two field-based case studies in Burkina Faso and Kenya.
