Integra to assist in USAID’s ASEAN Connectivity through Trade and Investment (ACTI) Project
Integra LLC is pleased to announce the award of a subcontract from Nathan Associates, Inc. to provide technical services for the ASEAN Connectivity through Trade and Investment (ACTI) project. Funded through USAID’s Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA), the project focuses on trade facilitation, energy sector development, small enterprise expansion, and telecommunications development.
Integra will provide specialized technical assistance to the ASEAN Secretariat and ASEAN member states for improving the enabling environment for information and communications technology (ICT), broadband development, and emerging technology proliferation, accessibility, and utilization. The body of work, to be carried out over five years, is titled ICT for Development and Enhancement of ASEAN (IDEA). It is designed to expand access to and affordability of communications infrastructure in ASEAN member states with a special focus on Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Our staff and consultants will provide targeted regional and national technical assistance, in cooperation with bilateral and multilateral agencies to reduce the digital divide in ASEAN member states. Technical assistance will include support in deploying and managing universal service funds; national and regional broadband planning and implementation; advisory services for legal and regulatory reforms of the telecommunications sector; and facilitating public private partnerships to introduce emerging information and communications technologies for development. Integra will also assist with the completion of ASEAN ICT Masterplan items.
