In October 2020, the USAID-funded Learning, Evaluation, and Analysis Project (LEAP III) team completed a Private Sector Landscape Assessment (PSLA) for the USAID/Egypt Mission. The PSLA systematically examined opportunities and approaches to solve key development challenges by leveraging private sector resources and expertise. It was designed to serve as a resource in current private sector engagement (PSE) efforts and to enable the Mission to define longer-term engagement goals and potential opportunities through its upcoming Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS).

This activity was an action planning workshop, held in November 2020 comprised an introduction or plenary session with all Mission participants, followed by breakout sessions with each technical team. Representatives from the Program Office, the Private Sector Engagement Advisor, and the Mission’s PSE Working Group all participated, focusing on PSE-related issues and goals that span across the Mission’s development objectives and target sectors for support.
