The Center for Economics and Market Development (EMD) at USAID and Integra delivered an online synchronous Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) training in May 2022. The online course included half day sessions over a two-week period. The course covered basic CBA topics. Integra supported the delivery of this course by:

  • Developing and delivering a 45-minute lecture on the history of CBA and CBA guidance at USAID, as well as the expected changes to USAID’s CBA Guidelines.
  • Preparing a case study that includes impacts related to gender.
  • Preparing and delivering a 45-minute presentation to introduce the case studies.
  • Providing a project coach for the delivery of the case study.
  • Preparing up to 5 knowledge check questions for each lecture and the case study material.
  • Preparing and delivering a 45-minute lecture on the topics required for the case study, including the valuation of time-use and health impacts.

Integra also submitted a supplementary risk analysis guide in January 2023 to be used as reference material along with the training materials.
